YMCA Moldova continues to provide essential support to young people as they prepare for integration into the labor market. During the latest activity, Olesea, a 17-year-old student at the “Kiril and Metodiu” Educational Complex in Chișinău, participated in a session dedicated to career orientation and the development of job-readiness skills. In her video message, she shares what she learned and how the experience helped her gain clarity about her future aspirations.
The activity is part of the project “Career Orientation and Employment for Rural Youth in the Municipality of Chișinău,” through which YMCA Moldova implements programs designed to strengthen career-development skills and support young people in the transition from school to the labor market. The initiative aims to create relevant learning experiences adapted to the real needs and challenges faced by today’s youth.
The session included self-awareness exercises, identification of professional interests, mock job interviews, and discussions about current labor-market trends and career-building opportunities. These activities were designed to help young people build confidence, gain clarity, and develop practical skills needed to navigate the real challenges of employment.
The project is implemented by YMCA Moldova with the financial support of the Municipal Grant Program for Youth Organizations, managed by the General Directorate for Education, Youth and Sports and the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center, under the auspices of the Chișinău Municipality. This support enables the continuous development of effective and accessible career-orientation programs for young people across the region.
We invite you to watch the video to discover Olesea’s perspective and the impact this activity had on her educational and professional journey.
