
YMCA Moldova organized the 2025 Annual Reporting and Strategy Conference, an event dedicated to evaluating the activities carried out during the year, but also to establishing development directions for 2026. The conference brought together institutional partners, partner organizations, community members and beneficiaries of programs implemented by YMCA Moldova.
Participants included representatives of the Chisinau City Hall, the Municipal Youth Center, the “Onisifor Ghibu” Theoretical High School in Orhei, the Pantera Sports Club, Y’s Men, members of the Association’s Council, Ukrainian refugees, as well as other partners who actively supported YMCA Moldova initiatives during 2025.
During the conference, the YMCA Moldova team presented the main projects and activities implemented in 2025. These include the distribution of computers and other HP equipment to educational institutions and community centers, with the aim of supporting young people’s access to digital education and the development of IT skills.
Also, career guidance activities were carried out in schools in rural areas of Chisinau municipality and districts, aimed at helping young people identify their interests and career opportunities.
Another important area of intervention was the support provided to Ukrainian refugees, through the provision of humanitarian aid, as well as psychological, legal and employment counseling, to facilitate their integration into local communities. At the same time, YMCA Moldova implemented a project dedicated to mental health among young people, focused on prevention, information and emotional support.
In addition to these initiatives, in 2025 a training project dedicated to NGOs and individuals working with Ukrainian refugees was launched, aiming to strengthen the capacities of professionals and volunteers involved in the field of humanitarian and social assistance.
In the second part of the conference, participants discussed plans and priorities for 2026, which aim to expand existing programs, develop new initiatives adapted to the current needs of young people and communities, as well as strengthen collaboration with public authorities and local and international partners.
The event took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, providing a space for dialogue, reflection and collaboration, and reconfirmed YMCA Moldova’s commitment to actively contribute to the development of a more inclusive, supportive and youth-oriented society.
