Alexandra, a participant in the “EU FUNDING LAB” activity—organized by YMCA Moldova at the Ungheni District Youth Center—shares her experience from the training session and discusses the importance of training, personal development, and professional growth opportunities for young leaders and representatives of civil society organizations.
In the interview, Alexandra discusses the knowledge gained and the topics covered during the activity, highlighting the importance of understanding European funding mechanisms, the project development process, and how to identify funding opportunities for community initiatives. Participating in this session gave her the chance to explore new methods for project planning and development, to better understand the steps required to turn an idea into a concrete initiative, and to discover useful resources for implementing activities that have an impact at the local level.
The “EU FUNDING LAB” initiative created an interactive framework for learning, collaboration, and the exchange of experience, in which participants had the opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by civil society organizations, identify community needs, and explore ways to secure resources for the development of sustainable projects. Through practical examples, discussions, and the exchange of ideas, the session helped strengthen skills in planning, communication, and project management.
Access to such training opportunities is essential for the development of an active civil society capable of addressing current challenges. Familiarity with European funding instruments and the development of project-design skills enable young people and organizational representatives to transform innovative ideas into concrete actions that contribute to improving living conditions and fostering the sustainable development of local communities.
