Young People in Chișinău Take Their First Steps Toward a Career: First Career Guidance Session Held at “Ginta Latină” Theoretical High SchoolTinerii din Chișinău fac primii pași spre carieră: Prima sesiune de orientare profesională a avut loc la Liceul Teoretic „Ginta Latină”

Today, the first session of the project *”Career Guidance and Employment for Young People from the Rural Areas of Chișinău Municipality,”* implemented by YMCA Moldova, was held at the “Ginta Latină” Theoretical High School in Chișinău. The event brought together 50 enthusiastic young participants eager to learn more about their professional future and to discover their potential.

The goal of this session was to familiarize participants with the main career opportunities available on the labor market, help them better understand their interests and skills, and provide them with practical tools for personal and professional development.

The session’s program included interactive exercises, guided discussions on career paths, and inspirational examples from various fields. The YMCA Moldova team, together with career guidance experts, provided useful insights into current labor market trends, in-demand skills, and the steps needed for successful career integration.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Petru Grecu, Director of the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center, and Ms. Iulia Nicorici, Senior Advisor at the same institution, who delivered motivational speeches and expressed their support for this valuable initiative for youth development. The project is financially supported under the Municipal Grant Program for Youth Organizations in Chișinău, launched by the General Directorate for Education, Youth, and Sports and the Municipal Youth Center, under the auspices of the Chișinău City Hall.

“This first session showed just how great the need is for such interventions among young people. They are curious, engaged, and have tremendous potential. We will continue these activities in other localities across the municipality to reach as many beneficiaries as possible,” stated Dumitru Roibu, Executive President of YMCA Moldova.

The project will continue in the coming period with similar sessions in other high schools and communities, with young people also benefiting from workshops on CV writing, interview preparation, and meetings with representatives from the business sector.
