As part of the “Aid and Support for Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova” project, YMCA Moldova organized an extensive employment orientation and information session for a group of more than 70 Ukrainian refugees residing in Soroca. The event was carried out in partnership with the National Employment Agency (AOFM), with the aim of facilitating access to the labor market and creating real opportunities for individuals affected by war and displacement.
During the session, participants received detailed information on their labor rights in the Republic of Moldova, employment procedures, the professions currently in demand, and available opportunities for professional retraining. Specialists from YMCA Moldova offered personalized guidance, assisting participants in preparing their CVs, identifying suitable job options, and understanding the steps required to access employment services.
Representatives of the National Employment Agency presented the programs available for job seekers, including free trainings, job mediation services, and support measures designed to help refugees integrate socio-economically. Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared their professional backgrounds, and received practical recommendations for improving their employability.
Through this initiative, YMCA Moldova reaffirms its commitment to supporting Ukrainian refugees as they adapt and integrate into communities across Moldova, providing access to information, assistance, and opportunities that contribute to stability and independence.
YMCA Moldova will continue organizing similar sessions in other regions of the country, working closely with state institutions and international partners to effectively address the needs of refugee communities and promote social and economic inclusion.
