YMCA Moldova announces that the official launch event of the PACE – Promoting Access, Collaboration, and Empowerment for Ukrainian Youth project is taking place right now. The programme is funded by the European Commission, with YMCA Moldova serving as the coordinator of a consortium formed by six organizations from Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, and Ireland.

The PACE project aims to directly and effectively support the inclusion of displaced Ukrainian youth, to promote cooperation among youth organizations across the region, and to create genuine opportunities for their personal development, professional growth, civic participation, and skills enhancement.

The event agenda includes opening speeches delivered by key leaders from the fields of education, European diplomacy, and the civil society sector:

Alexandru Stratan, Rector of ASEM, Academician, President of Junior Achievement Moldova
Sergiu Gurin, State Secretary, Ministry of Education and Research
Dumitru Roibu, Executive Director of YMCA Moldova

Representatives of regional partners are taking part in the thematic panels: JA Moldova, JA Ukraine, YMCA Ukraine, JA Georgia, and the company Matrix Internet.

The event is moderated by Ilia Peichev, a young Ukrainian who, through his role, offers visibility and a voice to the community for whom this project is designed.

Through the PACE project, YMCA Moldova demonstrates its strong and ongoing commitment to strengthening the resilience of Ukrainian youth, developing relevant educational programmes, and reinforcing a regional cooperation network within the youth sector.

YMCA Moldova remains dedicated to its mission of providing young people across the region with access to modern opportunities for learning, participation, and development—contributing to a safer, more inclusive future for all.
