Beneficiaries periodically participate in practical sessions in which they learn to use a laptop and smartphone, browse the internet, create and manage an email, and access online services useful for everyday life. <\/p>\n\n<p>The activities are organized in a friendly and interactive format, adapted to the learning pace of older people. Participants practice directly on the devices, receive individual support from facilitators and discuss how technology can help them communicate with family, access information, public services or banking applications.  An important element of the training is also online safety \u2013 how to recognize fraud attempts and how to protect their personal data. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YMCA Moldova desf\u0103\u0219oar\u0103 activit\u0103\u021bi de incluziune digital\u0103 la Asocia\u021bia Veteranilor, sectorul Ciocana\" width=\"1290\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YE4VPM7DEBg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p>Through such activities, YMCA Moldova aims to increase the confidence of older people in using technology and to help them use the internet safely and responsibly.
