YMCA Moldova was present at the backpack distribution event held in the city of Straseni, where several educational institutions in the district received backpacks and school bags provided through the Straseni District Council.

During the event, Mariana Dîmcenco, president of Strașeni district, highlighted the importance of the donation provided by YMCA Moldova and the impact that this initiative has on children and families, contributing to ensuring a start to the school year with more opportunities for each student.

The backpacks were provided as part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova with the support of HP Inc. and the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies.

The initiative is part of a national program through which over 18,000 school bags and backpacks reach students throughout the Republic of Moldova, promoting equal access to education and providing support to children who are most in need.
