Ms. Lora, the principal of the “Alecu Russo” Theoretical High School in Chisinau, emphasized the importance of the donation of schoolbags provided by YMCA Moldova and the essential role of the support provided to students, including those from rural communities.

A backpack provided at the beginning of the school year means more than just an everyday object – it is a symbol of equal opportunities and the support necessary for every child to learn and build a better future. The representative of the institution mentioned that such initiatives contribute to reducing the expenses borne by families and motivate students to start the new academic year with confidence, enthusiasm and optimism.

The schoolbags were distributed as part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. The initiative is part of a national program through which over 18,000 schoolbags and school bags are provided to students throughout the Republic of Moldova, aiming to promote equitable access to education and support children who need additional support.

Through these actions, YMCA Moldova reconfirms its commitment to investing in education and community development, contributing to creating better opportunities for children and giving them the opportunity to develop their potential and follow their aspirations.
