The interim head of the General Directorate of Education in Straseni district, Ms. Tamara, talks about the impact of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project and the importance of partnerships that contribute to ensuring a better start to the school year for students in the Republic of Moldova.

As part of the project, YMCA Moldova provided the General Directorate of Education in Straseni district with a donation of school bags and backpacks. The General Directorate of Education subsequently distributed them to the directors of educational institutions in the district, who ensured their delivery to the students who need this support the most.

The distribution of school bags is part of a national initiative implemented by YMCA Moldova, in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. Through this project, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will reach students from educational institutions throughout the Republic of Moldova, contributing to improving learning conditions and promoting equal access to education.

Together we offer children not only schoolbags, but also confidence, motivation and the chance to start the school year with more opportunities.
