The interim head of the General Directorate of Education in Ocnița district, Ms. Ala, talks about the impact of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project and the importance of partnerships that contribute to a better start to the school year for students.

As part of the project, YMCA Moldova provided the General Directorate of Education in Ocnița district with a donation of school bags and backpacks, which are subsequently sent to the directors of educational institutions in the district to reach students.

The initiative is implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. In total, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will reach students throughout the Republic of Moldova.

Through this donation, we offer children practical support for school, but also more confidence, motivation and joy at the beginning of the new school year.
