Students from the “Lev Tolstoy” High School in Glodeni discover new opportunities for training, professional development, and employment.

The YMCA Moldova team visited the “Lev Tolstoy” High School in the town of Glodeni, where they conducted an interactive session focused on the personal and professional development of young people, career guidance, and identifying future opportunities.

This activity is part of the project “Career Guidance and Employment for Rural Youth in the Republic of Moldova,” implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with Kerk in Actie (the Netherlands). Through this project, young people are encouraged to better understand their interests and skills, explore various professional fields, and make informed decisions regarding further education and their future career choices.

During the session, students participated in practical exercises, interactive activities, and discussions regarding career choice, the development of digital and professional skills, effective communication, and the importance of the skills needed for labor market integration.

Significant emphasis was placed on self-awareness and identifying strengths, enabling young people to better understand how to leverage their skills and interests in shaping their educational and professional paths. Participants were encouraged to set goals, explore various options, and view professional development as a continuous process of learning and adaptation.

At the same time, students had the opportunity to learn more about the training, development, and employment opportunities available in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the importance of preparing for the current demands of the labor market.

Through such non-formal education activities, YMCA Moldova continues to provide young people with information, practical tools, and learning environments that help them develop their skills, gain greater confidence in their abilities, and make better-informed choices for the future.
