The principal of the “Ion Luca Caragiale” Theoretical High School in Orhei talks about the impact of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project and the importance of the support provided to students and their families during the preparation period for the new school year. The initiative meets real needs of communities and contributes to creating better conditions for students to start school prepared and with confidence.

The school bags and backpacks provided through the project represent more than just material aid. For many children, and especially those from socially vulnerable families, this support means one less worry for the family and an extra reason to be happy before the first day of school. A new backpack can bring confidence, motivation and the feeling that each child is supported in their educational journey.

Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education”, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will be distributed to students through educational institutions throughout the Republic of Moldova. Special attention is paid to children from socially vulnerable families and communities where such support can have a significant impact.

Through this initiative, YMCA Moldova continues to support equitable access to education and stand with children, families and educational institutions, contributing to a start to the school year with more confidence, enthusiasm and opportunities for every student.
