YMCA Moldova attended the schoolbag distribution event organized by the Cruzești Commune City Hall, in collaboration with the leadership of local Gymnasium No. 75. The event brought together community representatives and members of the educational institution around a shared goal: supporting children and ensuring the best possible start to the school year.

The school backpacks and bags provided by YMCA Moldova offer tangible support to students and their families. Beyond the material value of the donation, each backpack represents encouragement, confidence, and motivation for the children, adding to the joy with which they embark on a new school year.

Through such initiatives, we aim to be closer to local communities and to help create the most equitable educational opportunities possible for every child. Supporting education represents a long-term investment in the development of children, communities, and society as a whole.

This initiative is part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. The initiative aims to provide support to students across the Republic of Moldova, paying special attention to rural communities and children most in need of assistance.

In total, over 18,000 school backpacks and bags are being distributed nationwide, reaching students from numerous educational institutions across the country. Through this initiative, YMCA Moldova contributes to promoting equitable access to education and to ensuring a start to the school year marked by greater confidence, motivation, and opportunities.

We are pleased to see that, through collaboration with local authorities and educational institutions, support reaches the children who need it directly. Each schoolbag provided is an investment in education and a step forward toward a future of greater possibilities for every child.
