We invite you to watch highlights from the YMCA Moldova team’s visit to the “Constantin Spătaru” Theoretical High School in Leova, where an interactive session was held focusing on the personal and professional development of young people, career guidance, and the identification of training and employment opportunities.

The activity was carried out as part of the project “Career Guidance and Employment for Rural Youth in the Republic of Moldova,” implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with Kerk in Actie (the Netherlands). The project aims to provide young people in rural communities with access to information, resources, and modern career guidance methods, helping to develop the skills needed for labor market integration and the creation of a career path tailored to each individual’s interests and abilities.

During the session, students participated in practical self-discovery exercises, educational games, and interactive discussions, through which they explored their own interests, aptitudes, and strengths. Particular attention was paid to the process of choosing a profession, the importance of setting personal and professional goals, and identifying the steps necessary to build a successful career.

At the same time, participants discussed the development of digital and professional skills, as well as the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and adapting to current labor market demands. Opportunities for further education, vocational training, and employment available in the Republic of Moldova were also addressed, encouraging young people to consider various options and make informed decisions about their future.

Through these activities, YMCA Moldova aims to help boost young people’s confidence in their own abilities, stimulate their motivation for learning and continuous development, and support them in identifying opportunities that align with their professional aspirations.

Through its collaboration with Kerk in Actie, YMCA Moldova continues to promote equitable access to non-formal education and career guidance, providing young people in the Republic of Moldova with the tools and knowledge needed to make responsible choices and build a professional future with greater opportunities.
