Petru Grecu, director of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center, took over the donation of schoolbags intended for the five Youth Centers in Chisinau and emphasized the important role that youth centers and organizations play in supporting children and young people in the Republic of Moldova.

According to him, such initiatives demonstrate that, through collaboration between youth organizations, public institutions and private partners, real opportunities can be created for young people. Youth centers are spaces where children and young people benefit from support, personal development, educational activities and opportunities that help them discover and realize their potential.

The schoolbags were provided as part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. As part of this national initiative, over 18,000 schoolbags and backpacks will be distributed to children and youth throughout the Republic of Moldova, contributing to promoting equitable access to education and supporting those most in need.

YMCA Moldova continues to develop solid partnerships with youth centers and organizations, so that more and more children and young people benefit from support, opportunities and resources that will provide them with a better future.
