YMCA Moldova continues to invest in children’s education and support communities in the Republic of Moldova through the implementation of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education”, an initiative carried out in partnership with HP Inc. and supported by the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. The project aims to provide concrete support to students and educational institutions, with special attention paid to children from rural communities and socially vulnerable families.

As part of the project, the “Iserlia” Gymnasium in Basarabeasca district benefited from school bags and backpacks for the institution’s students. For the children, these represent more than just material aid – they mean the opportunity to start the new school year better prepared, with more confidence, motivation and enthusiasm.

Through such actions, the project contributes to reducing the difficulties faced by some families in preparing their children for school and to creating more equitable opportunities for students, regardless of their social situation or the community they come from.

Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education”, YMCA Moldova reaffirms its commitment to supporting equitable access to education and to stand with children, families and educational institutions. Each backpack provided is a practical support, but also a message of encouragement for children to step into the new school year with confidence and the desire to learn.
