The representative of the educational institution “Dimitrie Cantemir” from the village of Tartaul de Salcie, Cahul district, talks about the impact of the project “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” and the importance of the support provided to students and their families during the preparation period for the new school year. For rural communities, such help responds to real needs and contributes to creating better conditions for children’s education.

The school bags and backpacks provided through the project represent more than just material support. For children, they bring the joy of a new beginning, more confidence and the motivation to return to school prepared. At the same time, the initiative supports families, especially those in socially vulnerable situations, for whom preparing children for the start of the school year can represent a considerable financial effort.

Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will be distributed to students through educational institutions throughout the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the support reaches directly into communities and contributes to providing more equitable opportunities for children, regardless of their background or social situation.

Through this initiative, YMCA Moldova continues to stand with students, families and educational institutions, contributing to a start to the school year with more confidence, enthusiasm and hope. Each backpack provided represents a concrete step towards supporting education and creating an environment in which every child has the chance to learn and build their own future.
