Over 18,000 school backpacks and bags are reaching students and young people across the Republic of Moldova through the HP-YMCA project.

Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies, schoolbags and school bags reach students and young people throughout the Republic of Moldova, with special attention paid to rural communities and those where the need for support is greater.

The initiative provides concrete support for education and youth development, helping to ensure the necessary resources for their daily activities. Backpacks and bags are being provided to students in educational institutions as well as to young people participating in activities at youth centers and sports federations across various regions of the country.

For the beneficiaries, each backpack represents more than just an item needed for school or daily activities. It serves as practical support that helps create better conditions for learning, participation, and personal development, while simultaneously boosting their confidence and motivation to continue their educational journey and the activities in which they are involved.

By extending the initiative to educational institutions, youth centers, and sports federations, the project reaches diverse groups of beneficiaries and helps create more opportunities for children and young people, regardless of where they live or the field in which they develop their skills.

In total, over 18,000 school backpacks and bags are being distributed nationwide, reaching numerous communities across the Republic of Moldova. Through this contribution, the project promotes equitable access to education, supports active youth engagement, and provides tangible support to families and communities.

Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education,” YMCA Moldova, together with its partners, continues to invest in education and the potential of the younger generation, helping to create an environment where as many students and young people as possible can benefit from the resources, opportunities, and support needed to build a better future.
