Today, September 1, YMCA Moldova was present at the “Alecu Russo” Theoretical High School in Chisinau, where the ceremony dedicated to the beginning of a new academic year took place.

On this occasion, YMCA Moldova, together with the administration of the high school, offered schoolbags to students who are entering school for the first time, in first grade, thus contributing to a start of the school year full of joy and confidence.

The action is part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies.

In total, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will reach students in the Republic of Moldova, contributing to a start to the school year with more opportunities and equal chances for every child.
