Ms. Cristina, deputy director of the “Mihail Sadoveanu” Theoretical High School in the city of Hincesti, talks about the impact of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project and the value of the support offered to students and their families with the start of the new school year. For the school community, this initiative represents an important support, which meets the needs of the children and contributes to creating an environment in which each student feels supported and encouraged.
The school bags and backpacks provided through the project represent more than just material aid. For children, they mean confidence, motivation and the joy of starting a new school year better prepared. At the same time, the support provided helps reduce some of the worries of families related to preparing their children for school.
The “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies, aims to bring the necessary resources closer to students and contribute to promoting equitable access to education. By collaborating with educational institutions and local communities, support reaches where it is most needed.
Through this initiative, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks will reach students in educational institutions across the country. Each backpack provided is, at the same time, a message of support for children and an encouragement to continue learning, discovering and following their aspirations.
The support provided responds to a concrete need and contributes to creating a more optimistic start to the school year, in which children can step into school with more confidence and enthusiasm. Through such initiatives, we invest not only in today’s education, but also in the opportunities and future of tomorrow’s generations.
