Ms. Olesia, representative of the “Marcu Tarlev” Gymnasium in the village of Bașcalia, Basarabeasca district, highlighted the positive impact of the donation of schoolbags provided by YMCA Moldova and the importance of supporting students from rural areas.

A backpack for the beginning of the school year is more than just a necessary item – it provides equal opportunities for every child to learn and build their future. According to the institution’s representative, such initiatives contribute to reducing the financial burden on families and encourage students to step into the new school year with confidence, motivation and joy.

The schoolbags were provided as part of the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova with the support of HP Inc. and the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies. Through this initiative, which is part of a national program, over 18,000 schoolbags and school bags are distributed to students throughout the Republic of Moldova, contributing to promoting equitable access to education and supporting children who are most in need.

Through such actions, YMCA Moldova continues to invest in education and community development, offering every child more opportunities to follow their dreams and realize their potential.
