Through the “HP-YMCA Initiative for Rural Education” project, implemented by YMCA Moldova in partnership with HP Inc. and with the support of the DAAC Hermes Group of Companies, we continue to support children’s education and provide concrete support to students throughout the Republic of Moldova, with special attention paid to rural communities and those where access to educational resources is more limited.

As part of this initiative, school bags and backpacks reach students from numerous educational institutions in the country, helping them prepare for the new academic year. For children and their families, this support represents not only material aid, but also an encouragement to start the school year with more confidence, motivation and enthusiasm.

The project aims to contribute to creating equal opportunities for students and reducing the differences between communities in terms of access to educational resources. Each backpack provided means support for a child and a step forward in supporting their educational journey.

In total, over 18,000 school bags and backpacks are being distributed nationwide, reaching children in different regions of the Republic of Moldova. Through its scale, the initiative demonstrates how important partnerships between organizations, businesses and communities are to meet the real needs of students and their families.
