YMCA Moldova was present at the backpack distribution event organized by the management of Gymnasium No. 74 “Viorel Găină” in Tohatin commune, a moment dedicated to supporting students and preparing them for the start of the new school year.

During the event, the director of the institution, Mr. Viorel Cheltuitor, highlighted the importance of the donation provided by YMCA Moldova and the positive impact this initiative has on children and their families. For many students, a new backpack represents more than just a school item – it is concrete support, encouragement and extra motivation to step confidently into the new academic year.

Through such actions, we want to contribute to reducing the financial burden on families and to offer children better conditions for education. Each schoolbag provided means a step towards a more optimistic start to the school year and towards creating equal opportunities for students, regardless of their social situation or community.

This action is part of a national program through which over 18,000 school bags and backpacks reach students in educational institutions throughout the Republic of Moldova. Special attention is paid to children who need support the most, so that the resources provided reach where they can have a significant impact.

YMCA Moldova continues to support education and stand with children, families and educational institutions, contributing through concrete initiatives to the development of stronger communities and the creation of a future with more opportunities for every child.
